Our story

Saffron House was born out of a simple belief — that great food is a form of hospitality. Founded in 2012 by the Mehta family in the heart of Indiranagar, we started as a 20-seat neighbourhood eatery and grew into one of the city's most loved dining destinations. Our kitchen celebrates the diverse culinary heritage of India, from slow-cooked Awadhi biryanis to coastal seafood curries, brought together under one roof with warmth and care.

With over 18 years of experience across Mumbai, Dubai, and London, Chef Arjun returned home to Bengaluru with a mission — to reintroduce India to its own forgotten recipes. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, he brings classical technique to deeply traditional cooking. He believes the best ingredient is always patience.
